Due to our growth, we are looking for a Security Engineer who combines technical depth with ownership and customer focus. Someone who gets energy from complex issues and from seeing the impact of his or her work.

You are versatile: from design to implementation, from incident analysis to customer advice. Specifically:

What will you do?

• Support customers with complex technical issues, incidents and operational security challenges
• Designing, implementing and optimising security solutions within hybrid environments
• Performing migrations and upgrades on platforms such as Check Point, Fortinet, F5 and Trend Micro
• Analysing security incidents and translating root-cause analyses into structural improvements
• Advising clients on security architecture, risks and best practices
• Automating recurring tasks via Infrastructure as a Code
• Supporting pre-sales processes with technical content

What do you bring?

• HBO working and thinking level in IT, Cybersecurity or Computer Science
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Security Engineer, Network Engineer or similar role
• Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, network security, routing & switching, TCP/IP, VPN, endpoint security, cloud security (Azure/AWS) and security monitoring
• Experience with one or more platforms: Check Point, Fortinet, F5 and/or Trend Micro
• Affinity with automation: PowerShell, Python, Bash, API integrations or Infrastructure as Code
• You communicate clearly in Dutch and English
• Certifications are a plus
